Stars: 1A huge disappointment

Simply put the User Interface is the worse I have ever seen on an MP3 player. I have used Creatives all my adult life but this terrible player has put me off them now. The lack of volume buttons is horrible as well as the clunky slow touchscreen. Finally, when I try and add a folder of songs to the now playing section, the player seems to play that folder and a bunch of other random non selected songs,

Stars: 3Am close to giving up on it

I don't know how helpful this review will be to people, but here goes anyway!

I bought this product about a year ago. I was really pleased with it at first - it looks good, very light weight, has a lovely sound with headphones. I use it often on 'play all' via cheap speakers in the kitchen and the sound is still good.

I have a lot of music and as I found the last creative software to be a major pain I simply rip through windows media player.

Over the year I have found a few problems with the player, though, and they are starting to be more than niggles.

1. Some artists, tracks and albums are listed on the player missing their first letters - so Billy Idol becomes 'illy Idol'. Very odd. It's only about 5% of the music and shows up as normal via windows.
2. About 25% of the albums don't show up at all on the player. I know they are on there as they show up in windows and appear occasionally on 'random play all', but if I want to search for the album or artist? No such luck.
3. I can't build playlists. It will let me choose one song, create a playlist and that's it. If I try to add another it asks me to create a new one or overwrite. This is via the player.
4. A WMP problem I think - it searches for the album info and gives me the wrong listings, so i have to edit by hand.

So whie the player is great sound and looks-wise, and having it play randomly through the jukebox of thousands is nice. When you are busying about with your headphones on and want a specific album, artist or track? Not easy (and that's after you get used to the fiddly touch screen set up as others have reviewed!)

I actually caved and installed the software. It made things worse. It imported crap I didn't want, it doubled the tracks already on there, but refued to play or delete the extras. And STILL won't let me do playlists.

I give up. I am going to buy an Ipod.

Stars: 5Great product

Does all i need from a cheaper product than the ipod .
Music quality great - Battery life good - video and picture quality playback good.
Have not got a card yet to boost memory but may not need one - just delete some old stuff off!
Would recommend

Stars: 1Zen X-fi 2

I cannot say much about this version as When I ordered it never showed up and had to cancel & buy elsewhere. However I own the predeacessor to this and it is th ebest mp4 on the market.

with these additional features if I was looking for an upgrade I would definitly buy this model.
